Dear Planet Antares, The vending business changed our lives the moment we walked into the one-day seminar. The seminar was presented in an informative manner, demonstrating the benefits, fun and money that could be made. The best part of all . . . it wasn't the usual PRESSURED SALES PITCH. The presenters were knowledgeable, warm, and friendly. The machines were available for us to see and try. The seminar covered the whole vending process with videos, testimonials and vendors as supportive materials. We knew immediately it was something we would like to do. Once in the vending business, we found working with people both challenging and rewarding. We take pride in delivering the newest products and meeting our customers' demands. Our customers are the business and the part we like the most - without them we wouldn't have a business. We decided to start slowly, determining if first instincts about the vending business were correct. Everything we were told at the seminar was true. The support, the coaching and materials offered by the company far exceeded our wildest imagination. We never had an unanswered question, and support materials were always received in a timely manner. We felt comfortable immediately with our new endeavor, and in no time were ordering additional machines. We presently have a requirement for another full service machine. Our immediate plans are to fulfil this requirement with a goal of having ten machines prior to our retirement. We have found the machines to be effective and efficient with a track record of almost NO DOWN TIME. In fact, over the last 18 months, we have only had three problems. Two of the three was due to abuse from users, foreign coins and part of a dollar bill caught in the changer. The third problem was with a circuit board on the changer. The company replaced the board and gave advice for preventing future failures. Our Snack Happy business has not only grown in size, but in employees. It started as a partnership with hubby, brother, and myself. In no time at all the curiosity and interest for what vending was all about grew in other family members. My dad who is 80-years-old, and our Uncle Bob who is also 80-years-old, watch the newspapers looking for sales on sodas and snacks. The two of them compete to see who can find the best sale and purchase the most stock. We have the support of parents, uncle, nieces, nephews, and our grandson. My dad also helps me stock when my husband isn't available. The big question each and every Friday from our family is how did the machines do? Each of us have our regular duties and have trained other family members in the event their help would be needed. The best part of all is we don't have to ask them to help us - they ask if they can help. It is fun for them, help for us, and at the same time a learning experience for all. Each and every trip to a vending location proves to be a learning experience for better ways to do business and provide better service to our customers. Snack
